Blue Dog Farm CSA 2008
Join our CSA for organic farm fresh vegetables and berries, June through October! What is a CSA?
For those who are unfamiliar with the concept, CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture." What it is is a "subscription" to a farm for a weekly share of the farm's produce. You come by the farm on a set day (or meet us at one of the farmers markets we attend -- Carnation, Duvall, and Sammamish) pick up your basket of fresh produce, take it home and feed yourself and your family great organic food.
Why do a CSA?
It is a good way to support a farm you care about because the farmers know they have a market for those shares of produce. It is a good way for us to support you because we can make available to this smaller group better service and experience on the farm. For example, we will definitely offer u-pick days for our CSA customers and the CSA customers will get the very first of the berries in their share baskets. Kids love CSAs. They get to see where their food comes from -- maybe then they'll eat it! Grownups love CSAs. You get the best organic produce available anywhere. It's convenient and scenic and puts you in the mood for good eating!
Blue Dog Farm CSA member benefits besides the great organic produce:
5-10% discount on all other farm produce (including berry flats and u-pick berries!)
Berries every week we have 'em!
Farm newsletter and recipes each week
U-pick berry evenings for CSA customers only (date(s) to be determined)
Free u-pick cuttings from our cutting flower garden and our herb garden
A farm tour (date(s) to be determined)

DIY (do it yourself) farm tours any time. We want you to enjoy your farm!![]()
What about the berries?
We know most of you know us as a berry farm, and great organic berries will always be a mainstay for us (we LOVE berries). But people cannot live by berries alone. (Except maybe in July!) We've been growing vegetables for many years in our home garden and have been working each year to grow them on a larger scale to supplement our berry sales on the farm and at the farmers markets we attend. Then last year, we were asked by a couple of customers for weekly vegetables along with their berries, and the inaugural Blue Dog Farm CSA program was launched.
